They say a picture is worth a thousand words and here at WeddingVenues.com we couldn’t agree more! We all know that nowadays people are being overloaded with images and information, but the million dollar question is how to make your venue stand out from the crowd? So we’ve put together a short guide about how to make the most of your venue pictures.
Selecting good images to showcase your venue is vitally important because it’s the customers first engagement of your business especially now that people make snap decisions based on the visual information available to them.
So variety is the spice of life and to create a good listing we recommend including at least one of each of these pictures:
- Exterior of your venue
- The grounds
- The interior of the venue
- Ceremony rooms
- Day reception area
- Table settings
- The evening reception area
- A real wedding in different areas of the venue
- Places for photo opportunities
- Your accomodation
- Examples of different religious weddings
- Seasonal weddings
Firstly start with a large sized image that is a minimum of 800 pixels wide. The bigger they are the better they look on headers, blog posts and across social media. As a massive plus larger sized images receive a better ranking on google.
In our new Venue Owner Admin section we’ve improved the ease of uploading your pictures to add them to your listing. In the Media Manager now all you have to do is drag an image across and drop it in. From here you can change the orientation of the photo, particularly helpful for pictures taken on your digital camera or smart phone. Also you can store images in this section and alternate the ones you want showing on your wedding venue listing, this is good for showcasing how your venue looks in different seasons.
If you experience any problems uploading your pictures or you’d like some advice about which photos to publish then drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be more than happy to help you out.
