After months of development and testing, we’re pleased to introduce our shiny new admin panel for venue owners on WeddingVenues.com. We just wanted to take a moment to introduce some of the great new features that we’ve added to showcase your venue at its very best. There is a saying: if it’s not broken, don’t fix it, and we’re big believers in that adage. But rather than fixing something that was broken, we’ve completely reimagined how owners can manage and showcase their venues on WeddingVenues.com, increasing their exposure to potential couples across the site. Part of this process involved bringing a slick new interface and colour scheme to the Venue Admin panel, making it easier than ever to access the data owners need most. What’s more is that we’ve also introduced a ton of new features meaning you can now add videos, brochure, price lists and more to your WeddingVenues.com listing. So, let’s get to it and introduce you to these excellent tools.
1. All-new Media Manager
We wanted to introduce a quick and easy way for owners to access all of their uploaded media items, and so the all-new Media Manager was born. Not only can new items be uploaded directly from your computer, but we’ve made it easier than ever to import images to your venue’s listing page from your website or another address. To accompany the introduction of videos into our listing pages, we’ve also made it possible to import them straight from your YouTube channel with the click of a button. To get you started, we’ve put together a useful tutorial on: Using the new Media Manager.
2. Add videos and documents to venues
If a picture speaks a thousand words, imagine what a great video can say about your venue! Imagine no longer; we’re pleased to announce that owners can now add as many videos as they like to their venue’s listing page. Videos are seamlessly integrated into our all-new Media Manager and once added to a venue’s page, they look great across all devices for potential customers.
But what about excellent brochure, we hear you cry? Well, good news! Now you can add PDF downloads straight to your listing page too, and what’s more, you can add as many as you like. We provide detailed statistics about visitors who have downloaded your documents, so you can see exactly what’s popular.
3. Add staff members to manage your listings
We know that managing your online presence can be a full-time job in itself, and sometimes you just have more important things to do. That’s why we introduced the brand new Staff Members section to our new admin panel. Now, you can really take control of your WeddingVenues.com account — you can handle the billing information and general account data, and add staff members to manage your venues’ information for you. We’ve added granular control for staff members too, so you can specify which venues a staff member can access. They won’t see any billing information or invoice data, and of course staff members can’t add other staff members, so it’s an excellent system for larger venues who have online marketing teams or managers.
4. Automated billing and invoicing
For the first time in our history, we’ve introduced automated billing and invoicing to the new admin panel, so you never need to miss a subscription renewal again. Leveraging the power of Stripe, subscriptions and add-ons have never been simpler to manage, simply enter your preferred billing information via our new admin panel and let us do the rest. We will email you throughout the course of your listing to let you know of anything important that requires your attention, including credit / debit card expiration or failed payments. We’ve also introduced PDF invoices to your account, so you never need to misplace them again — simply view or download them straight from your dashboard.
5. Add dates to events, offers and late availability
Building on the popularity of our Venue News section, owners can now explicitly enter dates for their added events, offers and late availability. The entered dates will ultimately be used for our planned new Events Calendar section. Events and offers can each have a start and end date, and owners can specify up to 5 late availability dates per post (but don’t worry, there’s no limit to the number of posts you can add per venue).
6. Instant messaging for support
Sometimes it can take a while to get to know a new system, even one that you’ve been using for several months or years. Although we’ve done extensive testing to make sure that the new admin panel is as easy to use and understand as possible, we don’t want anything to stand in the way of your excellent venue and lovely couples. To that end, we’ve introduced Intercom, our live chat feature which instantly connects you to a member of our friendly support team who are more than happy to help with any queries you may have about using the site, the new admin panel or WeddingVenues.com in general. It’s easy to get started, just click on the blue circle icon from anywhere in the admin panel and start typing your query. All conversations are stored so you can easily refer back to them at any time.
